OPEN CALL TO RGI MEMBERS

‘Thoughts Are Free’
The RGI Council are happy to announce the Open Call to members to submit
and showcase their works created during the lockdown period for ‘Thoughts
Are Free’, the first online exhibition to be held across the RGI social media and
website this summer.
The title comes from Die Gedanken sind frei (Thoughts Are Free), a German
song which has been used as a symbol of hope during troubling periods
throughout history.
The lockdown theme can be interpreted in anyway desired. We are particularly
interested in a variety of works and mediums (drawing, painting, sculpture,
performance, mixed media).To apply:
Please submit via email: thoughts.are.free.opencall@gmail.com by
the 30th June 2020. Please note, submission after this date will not
be considered.
Please stipulate title, dimensions (cm) and medium of the work.
Full name, RGI membership number and contact telephone number.
A high-resolution image (jpeg) of the work is required. Please name the
file in the following format: FirstName_LastName_ Title.
If you wish to sell your work, we will also require an artist price. Please
note the 50% gallery commission will be added to the price which is
provided upon submission.
All purchases will not be able to be collected until the reopening of the
RGI Kelly Gallery.
Each RGI member can submit one piece to the Open Call.
Please provide an artist bio/statement, no more than 150 words along
with your RGI membership number.
