“I wakened up one morning in 1975, realising that life was passing me by, and that if I was going to achieve anything, I had to give up the day job and make a commitment to painting. I love painting. The smell of linseed oil and turpentine. The tactile quality of paint.” – Norman Kirkham RGI
We are very sad to hear about the passing of Norman Kirkham RGI (1936-2021). Kirkham studied at the Glasgow School of Art from 1953 to 1958. He is survived by Paddy Higson, his brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Mary Kirkham, and his sister Iris Inglis. He will be greatly missed.
