My work is a direct response to the environment I am surrounded by on the east coast of Scotland.

This coastal setting, alive with marine life inspires my practice of drawing and painting en plein air.

Chance encounters with seals, seabirds, the unexpected beauty of beach finds imbue my work with spontaneity and inspire my compositions in the studio, bringing an element of discovery into each piece.

Working directly within these surroundings allows me to capture not only what I see but also the textures, movements, and fleeting qualities of coastal life.

I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and have been exhibiting in solo and group exhibitions ever since.

I have been the recipient of many awards, including the prestigious Pastel Society Young Artist Award at The Pastel Society’s 114th Annual Exhibition, London and the James Torrance Memorial Award at The Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, Glasgow.
