After studying drawing and painting at Glasgow school of Art I graduated in 1984 followed by a further post graduate year. I then spent a year at the State Higher School of Fine Art in Poznan Poland from 1985-86 having been awarded a British Council Scholarship. Since then I have lived and worked in Glasgow and have exhibited widely, holding 15 solo shows to date, alongside many joint and group exhibitions and art fairs in the UK, Europe, U.S., Canada, Australia and Singapore.
Awards include first prize in the Noble Grossart/Scotland on Sunday Painting Exhibition 2000, a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 1992 and the Lyon and Turnbull Award in the Royal Glasgow institute Annual Exhibition 2012. I have work in several collections including Glasgow Museums and Flemings.
