Statement
I graduated in drawing and painting at Glasgow School of Art in 1973, thereafter, living and working at the Art School’s Workshop, Culzean Castle, where I developed an interest in landscape painting in response to my varied and dramatic surroundings. I now live and work in Renfrewshire.
I consider myself to be predominantly known as a still life and landscape painter, however, I have also expanded into Scottish Opera productions and Scottish Castles. Through the use of mixed media, I consider my preoccupations to be imparting a sense of space and light and an expressive impulse which is manifest in my work.
