Artist Statement:

My work takes place in life, drawings are a result of numerous sessions and layers, emphasising the passage of time. Figures are glimpsed in the background like half remembered recollections; actors about to go on stage, dancers waiting in the wings, figures deep in thought. The drawing builds its own narrative over time.

I am an artist and educator based in Glasgow and a Fine Art graduate of Glasgow School of Art, an Artist Member of PAI, a former Council member of the RGI and former Committee member of PAI.

Winner of PAI’s Independent Financial Advisors award 2019, the John Green Fine Art Award 2017, the James B S Curr award 2016 and 2014, the Derwent Award 2013 and the Jamieson Award 2012. Shortlisted for the Derwent Art Prize 2016. Represented Scotland at the ‘Euro Celtic Art Exhibition’ for the Lorient Interceltic Festival 2016. Vermont Studio Centre residency summer 2014.
