RGI Open Annual Exhibition News

June Carey – RGI

The RGI is honoured to have many elected members who will be exhibiting their work within our Open Annual Exhibition from 12th to 27th November 2016. Elected RGI in 2014, June Carey’s work can be found in many public and private collections. She has had ten solo exhibitions to date and has been invited to show her work in more than fifty prestigious group exhibitions at home and abroad.

Artist Statement:

I would describe my work as figurative and autobiographical. It deals with my personal thoughts and feelings, some of which are subconscious. I usually don’t know what my pictures are about until they are finished. Sometimes it can take several years before I realise what I was trying to say. I have a need to work in various media, which includes painting, pastel drawing, printmaking and working in a three dimensional way.
