1pm – 4pm.
Exhibition runs from 4th June – 2nd July
James Spence and Anda Paterson met as students at the Glasgow School of Art in the 1950s, which was the beginning of a life long artistic career spanning over sixty years.
In 1957, along with fellow student James Morrison, James and Anda were the founding members of the Glasgow Group, set up in response to the lack of commercial galleroes within the city. The group still curates an annual exhibition to this day.
Each with their own individual style and interests, both James and Anda have received and deserved great recognition within the Scottish and international art world, merited by two remarkable artists whose commitment to excellence and each other has never faltered. Sadly, James passed away in March 2016.
This exhibition at the RGI Kelly Gallery not only celebrates their work but acknowledges their status, both as elected RGI’s and their important contribution to Scottish art.
