This tour embraces the Georgian development of Blythswood Square, the heydays of Glasgow’s Art Club and School of Art, the glories of ‘Greek’ Thomson and St Aloysius, the Deco Diva Cosmo Cinema, and the more recent reincarnations of terraces and churches.
Devised and led by Angela Fussell, this walk explores the scope and scale of major landmarks in Glasgow’s artistic heritage, courtesy of the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts. The RGI’s 152nd Annual Exhibition will be held later this year in its traditional home at the McLellan Galleries, also being opened to public view on this occasion and included on this tour, in association with Glasgow City Council.
